We are happy to help with deer farming and venison stories, supply facts about our herds and venison handling, explain the legal and environmental context, arrange interviews with our team, or facilitate farm visits by appointment. Journalists are welcome to request background on seasonal management, biosecurity, animal welfare, and the role of venison in South African cuisine.
We can provide current information on topics such as pasture management during El Niño, carrying capacity, venison traceability, and the regulatory environment for keeping or trading deer in South Africa.
Please send press requests or interview questions through our contact form. Let us know your topic, area of interest, deadline, and publication. If you would like to visit one of our sites, please include your media credentials and the desired date, as all visits are strictly by appointment for biosecurity and animal welfare reasons.
We do not accept unsolicited drop-ins at any of our gates or offices, so every media visit is booked ahead.
Our brand marks, farm images and team photographs are available to bona fide media on request. All use must respect our guidelines: maintain clear space around the logo, use the dark logo on light backgrounds and the light version on dark backgrounds, never recolour or distort the mark, and keep it at a minimum size for clarity.
Images and quotes must be credited to Deer Farming unless agreed otherwise in writing. Commercial use, resale or use outside press and news purposes is not permitted without written consent.
