Terms and trade

Summary of our trading terms

Our trading terms explain how we confirm orders, visits, deposits, collections and deliveries for venison and live deer.

Guidance and information only

The information we provide about deer farming, venison and visits is intended as general guidance. It reflects our current working practices. Details can change, and nothing here is meant as official legal, veterinary or regulatory advice. For any specific need, please confirm details with the right authority or contact our team to discuss your situation.

Orders and visits confirmed in writing

All orders for venison, live animal sales, stud records, and arrangements for farm visits are confirmed by email. Your request is only binding once written confirmation is sent by our office and any required paperwork or deposit is complete. Our team will always confirm the collection or delivery details, and if you have not received written confirmation, please consider your order or visit unconfirmed.

Live animal sales and veterinary permits

We sell live deer only to buyers who hold, or are applying for, all required environmental permits. This includes a permit under the NEMBA Alien and Invasive Species Regulations, naming the species and the property. If your property is in a foot-and-mouth control area, or if national movement controls apply, written veterinary movement permission and a Veterinary Red Cross permit may be required before animals can leave our farm. Buyers must arrange for transport that meets these regulations. We reserve the right to refuse any sale where the paperwork is not in order.

  • Only to permitted buyers
  • Full required vet paperwork
  • Transport by arrangement

Venison sales and farm visits

All venison is subject to seasonal availability and is supplied only from animals slaughtered at our registered partner abattoir, under full cold-chain conditions. Once an order is confirmed, we will advise the collection or delivery arrangements and the latest date for collection to keep the meat in peak condition. Farm visits, educational days and agritourism are always by appointment, at your own risk, and visitors must follow the safety brief and farm rules given by our team. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply.
